Billing Terms
How your billing works
A plain-English summary of what you're paying for and what happens when.
Your billing date
You’re billed monthly on the day-of-month you first subscribed (e.g. sign up on the 14th, billed on the 14th every month going forward).
Your AI credits
Every paid tier includes a monthly AI-credit allowance. Credits reset on your billing date and do NOT roll over — anything unused is forfeited at the end of the month.
What costs what:
- Blog draft: 10 credits per 500 words (a 1,500-word post is 30)
- Blog Automation article: the same as an AI blog draft from the editor, 10 credits per 500 words (a standard 1,500-word article is 30), plus 2 for each of its two images.
- Meta rewrite — 2 credits
- Alt-tag batch of 10 — 2 credits
- Content rewrite — 10 credits
- Full-site audit — 25 credits
- Brand-voice training — 20 credits
Anything inside the CMS that doesn't use AI (publishing, editing, image uploads, redirects, etc.) is unlimited and free.
Going over your allowance
At 80% used, we'll warn you in-app. At 100% you can keep working but pay-as-you-go at $0.10/credit on the next invoice. At 150% AI calls hard-stop until your cycle resets or you upgrade.
Upgrading
Takes effect immediately. You're charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the current month, and your full new allowance is available right away.
Downgrading
Growth and Premium plans include a complimentary website design and are on a 12-month commitment. Downgrading to a lower tier is not available during that initial 12-month period. After your commitment term ends, you can downgrade at any time — the change takes effect at your next billing date and you keep your current allowance until then.
Essentials subscribers can switch plans at any time.
Cancelling
Plans are a 12-month commitment. After year one, cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal — you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Cancelling during the first 12 months may result in a one-time build-fee recovery charge; see workspacecms.ai/terms for the amount specific to your plan.
Developer API
- Tier eligibility. Developer API requires Premium tier or higher. Lower-tier accounts may view the OpenAPI spec but cannot generate or use keys.
- Rate limits. 600 requests/minute per key, 50,000 requests/day per tenant, 5 active keys per tenant. Exceeding limits returns HTTP 429.
- Enterprise quotes. Tenants requiring higher limits must contact sales for a custom quote. Individual limits are not raised ad-hoc.
- Security. Keys are issued in
wcms_live_*format and shown ONCE. Lost keys must be revoked and regenerated. Keys are tenant-scoped; sharing across tenants is prohibited. - Acceptable use. No scraping, no resale of API access, no using the API as a primary backend for another commercial product without written agreement. Reasonable read/write integration with the tenant's own systems is permitted.
- Revocation. 1Digital may revoke any key for breach of these terms or rate-limit abuse, with notice when feasible.
- Data. API responses contain the tenant's own data only. Tenant remains the data controller; 1Digital is the data processor for API responses per the main agreement.
- No SLA without Enterprise. Standard Premium API access has no uptime guarantee beyond best-effort. Enterprise quote required for SLA.
- Downgrade. Downgrading from Premium revokes API access immediately. Keys remain in the dashboard for re-activation upon re-upgrade within 90 days; after that, keys are permanently deleted.
- No warranty. The Developer API is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Use of the API is at the tenant's sole risk.
- Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1Digital's aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Developer API is limited to the fees paid by the tenant for the affected service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. 1Digital is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profits damages, even if advised of the possibility.
- Indemnification. Tenant shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 1Digital, its affiliates, and personnel from any claim, loss, or liability arising from: (a) misuse of API keys (including third-party use of leaked keys); (b) content sent or received through the API in breach of these terms; (c) violation of applicable law by the tenant's integration; or (d) infringement of any third-party right by the tenant's use of the API.
- Request logging. 1Digital logs metadata for every Developer API request — tenant ID, key ID, route path, HTTP status, latency, and rate-limit scope — for thirty (30) days to support abuse-prevention, debugging, and the in-dashboard usage analytics. Logs do not include request or response bodies. Retention may be extended for entries flagged for security or billing investigation.
- Export controls and sanctions. Tenant represents that it is not located in, and will not provide API access to any person located in, a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. trade sanctions, and that it is not on any U.S. government denied-party list. Tenant will comply with all applicable export-control laws when integrating the API.
- Survival. The Acceptable Use, Security, Data, No Warranty, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Request Logging clauses survive termination of API access for any reason and for as long as is reasonably necessary to enforce the rights and obligations described.
- Changes. These terms may change with 30 days' notice to tenant owner email.
Business Email add-on
- Business Email costs $6 per mailbox per month (8 GB each) and is billed with your WorkspaceCMS plan. Mailboxes you add part-way through a billing period are charged for the rest of that period.
- Lowering your number of mailboxes takes effect right away. There is no refund or credit for the rest of the billing period.
- Cancelling Business Email requires 30 days' notice. After you cancel, your mailboxes keep working for 30 days and you are billed for those 30 days. You can keep Business Email at any time before the notice ends.
- If your WorkspaceCMS plan ends before your 30-day notice has been paid for, the remaining days are charged to your payment method on file as a final charge.
- When the notice ends, your mailboxes are switched off, and they are permanently deleted, with all their email, at the end of that calendar month. Download anything you want to keep before then.
- If a payment is not made, your mailboxes are switched off and permanently deleted at the end of that calendar month unless the balance is paid first.
- Deleting a mailbox permanently deletes it and its email straight away.
- Mailbox passwords are shown once, when you create or reset them. We do not keep a copy.
